Terms & Conditions
For Group Trips, Retreats, Concierge Services and Hosted Travel Experiences
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all Jump & Wine Travel (”Jump & Wine”, “we,” “us,” “our”) trips, events, services, and travel experiences (“Trip”). By booking a Trip, you (“Guest,” “Traveler,” or “Participant”) agree to these Terms.
1. Booking, Payments & Deposits
1.1 Minimum Age
Travelers must meet the minimum age requirement to join our group trips. In most cases, this means being 18+ or the legal drinking age of the Trip destination, whichever is higher. However, we reserve the right to set a higher minimum age for any Trip, which will be stated on the specific trip’s page.
1.2 Payments Are Non-Refundable
A deposit is required to secure your spot in a Trip and all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
1.3 Payment Plans
If payment plans are offered:
- Payments must be made on or before due dates.
- Failed or late payments may result in late fees and/or removal from the trip without refund.
1.4 Final Payment
Your trip must be paid in full by the final due date listed on your invoice. Failure to pay may cancel your reservation without refund.
2. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers
2.1 Traveler Cancellations
- Deposits and payments are non-refundable.
- Partial refunds may be available only if stated for that specific trip.
- No refunds are issued within 60 days of departure.
2.2 Trip Transfers
Spots are typically non-transferable to another person or another trip unless approved by Jump & Wine.
2.3 Company Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a trip due to:
- Low enrollment
- Safety concerns
- Natural disasters
- Political instability
- Supplier issues
- Unforeseen circumstances
If we cancel, you will receive a refund of payments made or credit toward a future trip, depending on the situation.
We are not responsible for:
- Flights
- Visas
- Personal expenses
- Lost wages or time off work
2.4 Travel Insurance Required
Guests must purchase travel insurance that covers:
- Trip cancellation
- Trip interruption
- Medical emergencies
- Baggage issues
Proof may be required before departure.
3. Changes to the Itinerary
We may adjust accommodations, transportation, activities, or order of events due to weather, safety, supplier issues, or other factors.
Any changes will be made with the goal of providing an equal or better experience.
4. Traveler Responsibilities
4.1 Valid Passport & Documents
You must ensure your passport is valid according to the entry requirements of all countries visited (typically 6+ months validity beyond travel dates), plus visas if required.
4.2 Entry Requirements (Passport, Visa, Vaccinations, Customs)
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet all entry requirements for the destination(s) included in the trip. This includes but is not limited to:
- A valid passport (must meet the destination’s validity requirements, typically 6 months beyond travel dates)
- Required visas
- Required vaccinations or health documentation
- Proof of onward or return travel
- Any customs, immigration, or border control requirements
Jump & Wine is not responsible for:
- Denied boarding by airlines
- Denied entry by immigration authorities
- Additional costs associated with failure to meet entry requirements
4.3 Denied Entry – No Refund
If a traveler is denied entry to the destination country or any country during the trip for any reason (including but not limited to invalid passport, visa issues, vaccination issues, past legal issues, or failure to meet immigration requirements), no refunds (full or partial) will be issued.
Any additional costs incurred due to denied entry (such as accommodation, meals, transportation, or flight changes) are solely the traveler’s responsibility.
4.4 Traveler Duty to Provide Updated Information
To ensure smooth trip coordination, safety, and logistics, Travelers are responsible for keeping Jump & Wine informed of any changes to their personal travel details as soon as possible. This includes but is not limited to:
- Flight changes (new flight numbers, different airlines, delays, cancellations, reroutes)
- New arrival or departure times
- Changes in accommodation before or after the trip
- Updated emergency contact information
- Updated passport information
- Changes to dietary restrictions, medical needs, or accessibility needs
- Any travel disruptions that may affect scheduled pickups, transfers, or activities
Jump & Wine is not responsible for missed transfers, transportation, or group activities if a Traveler does not provide updated information in a timely manner.
Any additional costs caused by failure to update us (e.g., new transportation, missed activities, rebooking fees, or other expenses) are the sole responsibility of the Traveler.
4.5 Health & Fitness
You’re responsible for ensuring you’re able to participate in planned activities. Trips may involve:
- Walking
- Stairs
- Heat exposure
- Boats
- Vehicles
- Uneven terrain
4.6 Food & Dining Risks
Jump & Wine may recommend restaurants, cafes, food vendors, dining experiences, or caterers during the trip. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Food choices are made at your own discretion.
- Jump & Wine is not liable for any illness, allergic reaction, food poisoning, or food-borne illness resulting from foods consumed during the trip, whether eaten at a recommended venue or independently chosen.
- Travelers with food allergies or dietary restrictions are responsible for communicating their needs directly to restaurants, chefs, or vendors.
- Jump & Wine cannot guarantee that any restaurant or food vendor will be able to accommodate all dietary needs or prevent cross-contamination.
4.7 Roommate Matching Option
Jump & Wine offers a Roommate Matching Program for travelers who wish to reduce accommodation costs by sharing a room with another participant.
By opting into roommate matching, the Traveler understands and agrees to the following:
Assumption of Risk
- Roommate pairing involves being placed with another traveler whom you may not know personally.
- Jump & Wine is not liable for issues that may arise between roommates, including but not limited to:
- Personality conflicts
- Cleanliness or lifestyle differences
- Snoring, sleep habits, or schedules
- Misconduct
- Damage or loss of personal belongings
- Theft or financial disputes
- Interpersonal or behavioral issues
Travelers share all accommodations at their own risk, and Jump & Wine is not responsible for mediating conflicts or compensating for any losses.
If a Roommate Cannot Be Assigned
Roommate matching is not guaranteed. If we are unable to successfully pair you with another traveler due to factors such as:
- Roommate availability
- Last-minute cancellations
- Uneven group numbers
- Behavioral incompatibility deemed unsafe or inappropriate
…you agree to be upgraded to a single-occupancy package at the current single-occupancy rate, and you are responsible for any additional cost incurred.
By selecting the roommate option, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
4.8 Communication Requirements During the Trip
To ensure safety, coordination, and smooth group operations, all travelers are required to maintain active and reliable communication throughout the trip.
4.8.1 Phone Connectivity Is Required
Travelers must ensure they have at least one of the following for the duration of the trip:
- International roaming enabled on their home mobile plan; or
- A working local SIM or eSIM with mobile data; or
- Reliable Wi-Fi access (when acceptable for the destination, though data-enabled access is strongly recommended).
Travelers are responsible for confirming their device is unlocked and able to accept foreign SIM/eSIM cards if needed.
Jump & Wine is not responsible for missed information, transportation, activities, or announcements resulting from a traveler’s failure to secure reliable communication access.
4.8.2 Group Chat Participation Is Mandatory
All travelers will be added to the official Jump & Wine Trip Group Chat, which is used for:
- Important daily updates
- Meeting point reminders
- Last-minute itinerary adjustments
- Safety notifications
- Weather or transportation alerts
- Emergency coordination
- General announcements
By joining this trip, travelers agree to:
- Remain in the group chat for the entire trip
- Read announcements in a timely manner
- Monitor messages, especially on activity days
- Ensure notifications are enabled
Failure to monitor the group chat may result in missing transportation, meals, activities, or instructions.
Jump & Wine is not responsible for any missed portions of the trip, additional expenses, or inconveniences resulting from a traveler not reading group communications.
4.8.3 Traveler Responsibility if Unreachable
If a traveler cannot be reached by phone, message, or group chat:
- The group may proceed without them to maintain schedule commitments.
- Jump & Wine is not liable for missed activities, transportation, meals, or tours.
- Any costs to catch up with the group are the traveler’s responsibility.
This ensures the safety, punctuality, and experience of the entire group.
4.8.4 Emergency Contact Access
Travelers must ensure they can:
- Receive direct messages from the host
- Reply promptly if needed
- Share their real-time location if requested during a safety or emergency situation
Reliable communication is a crucial component of group safety and smooth operations.
4.9 Leaving Group Activities or Straying from the Group
For safety and logistical reasons, travelers are expected to remain with the group during included activities unless otherwise approved by a host.
If a traveler chooses to:
- Leave an activity early
- Stray from the group
- Separate to do personal activities
- Decline participation in a scheduled group item
Jump & Wine is not responsible for:
- Rejoining the group
- Transportation costs
- Missed experiences
- Delays
- Additional safety risks
- Any issues arising from separation
No refunds or credits are provided for missed activities due to voluntary separation from the group and any additional costs incurred are the sole responsibility of the traveler.
4.10 Behavior & Group Conduct
We prioritize a safe, supportive environment.
Travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward all hosts, staff, suppliers, and fellow travelers. Disruptive, aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate removal from group activities or, in severe cases, removal from the entire Trip without refund. We reserve the right to remove any participant, without refund, who displays:
- Aggressive or disruptive behavior
- Harassment
- Excessive intoxication
- Property damage
- Rule-breaking or refusal to follow the instructions of tour leaders or local authorities
- Behavior that endangers themselves or others
Jump & Wine is not responsible if a traveler is:
- Removed or denied entry to any attraction, venue, excursion, club, or activity
- Refused service by any third-party supplier
- Asked to leave a location due to behavior, rule violations, or safety concerns
Any additional costs incurred (including transportation, alternative lodging, rebooking fees, or missed activities) are the sole responsibility of the traveler.
4.11 Compliance With Local Laws
Travelers must follow all laws, customs, and safety regulations of destinations visited.
5. Included & Not Included
Your booking page will list specific inclusions for each trip. Generally:
Included
- Accommodation
- Listed group activities
- Certain meals
- In-destination transportation listed in the itinerary
- Host support
Not Included
- Travel insurance
- Flights
- Optional activities
- Personal expenses
- Meals not listed
- Tips and gratuities
6. Assumption of Risk
By booking, you acknowledge that all travel involves risk, including but not limited to:
- Transportation delays
- Weather changes
- Illness
- Personal injury
- Loss of property
- Political or social instability
You agree to participate voluntarily and accept these risks.
7. Liability Release
Jump & Wine is not liable for:
- Illness, injury, or death
- Loss, theft, or damage of personal items
- Acts or omissions of third-party vendors
- Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by carriers or suppliers
- Force majeure events
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release Jump & Wine and its hosts, contractors, and partners from all liability arising from participation.
8. Media Release
By joining a trip, you consent to the use of photos or video of you taken during the trip for:
- Marketing
- Social media
- Brand content
If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the host in writing before the trip.
9. Privacy
We collect necessary personal information such as:
- Name
- Contact details
- Travel preferences
- Emergency contacts
We do not sell your information. It is used solely for trip operations and safety.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or country where Jump & Wine is incorporated.
11. Acceptance
By booking, paying a deposit, or attending the trip, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
