A Letter from Juleen

Dear Future J&W Traveller,

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. My name is Juleen, and I created Jump & Wine Travel with one vision in mind: to give women permission to say yes to themselves.

I originally got the idea while on my first carnival trip — solo. Then, while everyone was busy learning to make sourdough bread during the COVID lockdown, I “locked in” to planning my first Jump & Wine trip, to Trinidad Carnival.

For years, I watched so many of us put off trips, adventures, and experiences because we didn’t have someone to go with, or because life got in the way. I wanted to change that. I wanted to create a space where women could show up solo or with friends and know they’d be welcomed, celebrated, and taken care of from the moment they said yes.

Jump & Wine was born out of two of my greatest loves: carnival and wine travel. Carnival is about freedom, joy, and stepping boldly into your most vibrant self. Wine getaways are about slowing down, savouring, and reconnecting with who you are. Together, they represent balance: celebration and rest, energy and ease.

I started Jump & Wine because I believe travel has the power to transform. It heals, expands, and reconnects us to ourselves and to each other. Every trip is designed not only to show you the world but to help you remember your own magic.
As for me, I travel because it keeps me alive, curious, and connected. I love the way a new place reinvigorates me, the way food tells the stories of the culture, and the friendships that form when women come together away from the everyday. My favourite part of every trip is getting to meet every single one of you in person, finally, and witness you fully live in the moment.
